Product Description

The most distinctive feature of Haworthia 'Tropical Night' is its deep, dark green to almost black leaves. The foliage is thick, fleshy, and typically has a glossy or semi-glossy appearance. The leaves grow in a rosette formation, creating an eye-catching display. The leaves are generally triangular or lance-shaped and taper to a point. They may have slight curves or twists, adding to their unique aesthetic. A mature Haworthia 'Tropical Night' plant typically reaches a moderate size, with the rosette growing to around 4 to 6 inches (10 to 15 cm) in diameter.

Pot Size:

6.5 x 6.5 cm

Care Guide:

  1. Light: Provide bright, indirect sunlight for your Haworthia 'Tropical Night.' It thrives in plenty of light but should be protected from intense, direct sunlight, which can lead to leaf burn.

  2. Temperature: Maintain temperatures between 65°F to 80°F (18°C to 27°C) during the growing season. Protect it from frost and cold drafts in the winter.

  3. Watering: Water sparingly and allow the top inch (2.5 cm) or more of the soil to dry out completely between waterings. Overwatering can lead to root rot, so it's crucial to avoid keeping the soil consistently wet.

  4. Soil: Plant your Haworthia 'Tropical Night' in well-draining succulent or cactus potting mix. Ensure the container has drainage holes to prevent waterlogged roots.

  5. Container: Use a pot with drainage holes for proper drainage.

  6. Fertilizing: Fertilize sparingly during the growing season (spring and summer) with a balanced, diluted liquid fertilizer suitable for succulents. Apply fertilizer at half the recommended strength every 4-6 weeks.

  7. Pruning: Trim away any dead or withered leaves as needed to maintain the plant's appearance and health.

  8. Pests and Diseases: Monitor for common succulent pests like mealybugs and spider mites. Treat any infestations promptly with suitable treatments.

  9. Repotting: Haworthia 'Tropical Night' generally doesn't require frequent repotting. Repot when it becomes root-bound or outgrows its container, typically every 2-3 years.
